Camogie in Scoil Naomh Pádraig
Camogie in Scoil Naomh Pádraig is open to girls from 3rd to 6th class.
The season begins after Christmas and runs until Easter time. Training takes place at 8.00am on Monday mornings on our school pitch and the players then go from training into their classes for 8.50am. The school team participates in the Cumann na mBunscol leagues and matches are played on Wednesdays on the school pitch or at an away venue. Last year we had a very successful season which saw us top our group in the league and qualify for the final of the Corn Sean Mac an Bhreithimh. We had a fantastic day out in Croke Park and came home victorious!
There is no cost to participate . The only thing we ask for is a committment to going to training on Mondays and to playing the matches on Wednesdays. And...that everybody has some fun!
We have a camogie group text which informs parents if training or matches are cancelled due to inclement weather. We would encourage any girl interested in playing camogie to join the squad in January.
