Scoil Naomh Pádraig Ballyroan was founded by the Mercy Order in 1966. Catherine Mc Auley who founded the Mercy Order believed passionately that no work could be “more productive to society than the education of the young”. She strove to educate the young to make them self-reliant and capable of valuing themselves and their work and we strive to ensure that we do the same today.
Our school is Roman Catholic in ethos. Our patron is Archbishop Diarmuid Martin and we welcome children of other religious faiths and denominations. The atmosphere of the school is one of welcome, care, concern and respect for everyone.
Scoil Naomh Pádraig is situated on approximately 1.35 hectares of grounds off Ballyroan Crescent in Ballyroan, Rathfarnham. Our school is made up of three different buildings. The Sliabh Mis and Teamhair buildings were completed in 1966 and Dún Pádraig was added in 1972.
We are very proud of our school. We are proud of its traditions of welcome, excellence, openness, inclusivity, diligence and support.
