At Scoil Naomh Pádraig, we believe that every parent/guardian has the power to make a significant, positive impact on our school community—and joining the Parents’ Association is one of the best ways to do just that. Imagine the smile on your child’s face when they see you’re actively contributing to making their school an even better place. Not only will you be setting a strong example of community involvement and leadership, but you’ll also be directly influencing the environment in which they learn and grow.
Joining the Parents’ Association isn’t just about participating—it’s about making a difference. Whether it’s influencing school policies, supporting exciting new initiatives, or simply helping to organise fun events, your involvement will play a crucial role in our school’s success. Plus, it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet other parents, share ideas, and build lasting friendships. And let’s face it, seeing the joy on your child’s face when they spot you helping out at school is priceless—especially before they hit that age where they’ll be too embarrassed to admit it!
Our Parents’ Association is a welcoming and inclusive group where every parent is automatically a member. We meet once a month (meetings are brief—just about an hour) and aim to have a lot of fun while supporting our school. Our events range from the Halloween Cake Sale to the graduation party, and yes, we even have a direct line to Santa for his annual visit!
But the impact of the Parents’ Association goes far beyond events. We’ve funded vital school improvements like upgrading the stage sound system, providing developmental materials, creating a soft play area for infants, and building an incredible outdoor playground. We also collaborate closely with the Principal, teachers, and the Board of Management on important issues like reviewing school policies and bringing in expert speakers on topics that matter to our families and inspire our students.
So, why wouldn’t you join? Your involvement can be as much or as little as you like—whether it’s joining the committee, volunteering at events, donating prizes, or simply offering suggestions. Every bit of participation is valued, and the benefits to your child and our school are enormous.
